Revisiting the Accounts of First Responders on 9/11
In the years following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, a multitude of questions have arisen about the circumstances surrounding the attacks. Among them are queries regarding the experiences of the emergency service first responders who faced unprecedented challenges. A renewed examination of these accounts was put forth by Attorney Jerry Leaford in September 2007, focusing on the oral histories provided by over 500 first responders, as documented in an article published by the New York Times on August 12, 2005.
