Instead of feeling the anticipated shock of impact, he experienced warm, gravel-like air that propelled him through the chaos. In a blink, he transitioned from running to being airborne—a reality he had never imagined facing.
A Destructive Force
The blast was not just a metaphorical explosion; it was palpable. In the blink of an eye, he lost his glasses, cell phone, and pager. However, he managed to clutch onto his cameras, symbols of his profession and mission. Despite the chaos, the instinct to document remained.
