Intrigued by these results, I placed a transparent plastic cylinder over the wheel, which completely halted its motion. Further tests revealed that placing my left hand flat next to the wheel caused slow rotation, while doing the same with my right hand yielded similar results.
Environmental Influence
Next, I impacted the environment around the wheel with warm air from a bowl of steaming water. As expected, putting the bowl near the wheel resulted in some rotation but not to the extent caused by direct hand movements. The sweat of the approaching steam had minimally noticeable effects despite various positioning attempts.
