In response to the rampant speculation, both Dr. Judy Wood and I (the author) began receiving numerous inquiries. These messages often expressed shock over the purported anomalies seen in the wildfire zones. Recognizing the need for a thoughtful discourse, Dr. Wood and I decided to record an informal discussion to address these theories. It was crucial to highlight that many of those making conjectures were not fire investigation specialists, nor had they conducted actual site visits to gather first-hand evidence.
Our conversation aimed to clarify that the damage observed was seemingly the result of typical fire behavior rather than unusual phenomena. For instance, we noted that live trees tend not to burn as readily as dry timber, which is commonly used in house construction.
