The Starchild Skull was uncovered in a cave located 100 miles southwest of Chihuahua, Mexico. Carbon dating established the skull's age to be around 900 years old, plus or minus forty years. Among its striking features was the notable morphology that set it apart from traditional human skull anatomy, including the absence of brow ridges and unusually reconfigured zygomatic arches. It caught the attention of various researchers, prominently Lloyd Pye, who proposed that the Starchild Skull might represent extraterrestrial origins due to its numerous anatomical discrepancies compared to the human skull found alongside it.
