Part 2/8:
Hank Uran introduced the conversation by revealing the origins of the stainless steel tank at the heart of their experiments. Originally an old water tank sourced from a scrap heap, the tank was repurposed with the objective of exploring the behavior of cathodes and anodes. The modification involved welding a viewing glass and creating an opening for the flange, allowing the introduction of necessary materials for experimentation.
Uran’s design drew inspiration from the Sapphire Project, ultimately leading to the creation of an electrode system that employed small brass plates as cathodes. This design choice allowed for adjustments to the experimental setup, specifically the distance between the cathode and anode, a factor crucial to initiating the electric process.
