Part 3/6:

Fusion is the nuclear reaction in which two light atoms combine to form a heavier atom, releasing significant amounts of energy. It is the process that powers the stars, including our own sun. Unlike fission—a process used in traditional nuclear power plants—fusion does not yield long-lived radioactive waste or emit greenhouse gases, making it a theoretically safer and cleaner alternative to current energy sources.

Bruno emphasized that Proton Scientific Technologies aims to commercialize its patented electron beam pulsed power technology, which is designed to create conditions favorable for fusion using minimal hardware. This technology, termed the Thunderbird, can theoretically produce bursts of energy exceeding 12 billion watts focused on a tiny target.
