The creator outlined that, under normal circumstances, pilots cannot manually trigger these devices. They highlighted that the only information available from air traffic control regarding ELT activations was reported by nearby pilots, not from official FAA records detailing the activation of ELTs during the crashes themselves. With no ELTs recorded at the exact time of the crashes, questions arose about the reliability of the information presented.
