On that clear morning, passengers arriving at Newark Airport’s Terminal A were greeted with the promise of an uneventful flight to San Francisco. Amongst them were a diverse group of people; men and women from various walks of life, and all with their stories. From the nervous flyer, Pat Cushing, to the seasoned CEO, Tom Burnett, their destinies collided aboard Flight 93.
As the aircraft prepared for takeoff and the plane left the gate at 8:01 AM, there was no forewarning of the chaos that was about to ensue. The flight took off 42 minutes late due to runway congestion, providing its passengers with a crucial opportunity to react when chaos erupted after departure.
