The day was equally traumatic for children at the local school. JP O'Connor, a social studies teacher, recalled trying to reassure his fourth-grade class amidst the chaos unfolding in New York. "I said, 'You don’t have anything to worry about, we live out here in the boonies, nothing's going to happen here,’" he remembered, only to be proven wrong moments later when Flight 93 flew near the school, shaking the building and rattling the students.
