In its straightforward presentation, the story tells us that God created Adam and Eve, instructing them not to eat from a particular tree in the Garden of Eden. With the serpent's cunning persuasion, Eve ultimately eats from the Tree of Knowledge and subsequently convinces Adam to join her. Their actions result in a transformative realization—nakedness and the desire to cover themselves—leading to their punishment: exile from Eden.
This narrative is often understood as the origin of human sin and the loss of innocence, raising fundamental questions about morality, autonomy, and the nature of humanity in relation to God.
