In November 2021, tensions escalated between ASAP Rocky and his friend, referred to as REI. Initially, Rocky invited REI to meet in Los Angeles, purportedly to resolve their differences. However, what was intended to be a reconciliation quickly spiraled into a violent confrontation. According to REI, the meeting turned hostile, with a physical altercation resulting in Rocky allegedly firing shots at him.
