Upon closer inspection, they were revealed to be alchemical symbols – the triangle, square, circle, and X, each bearing profound meanings.
The upright triangle symbolizes fire and masculinity in al chemical lore. Its prominent display at the beginning of the performance underscores its importance within the ritual. Conversely, the inverted triangle, when shown during SZA’s segment, represents water and femininity, suggesting a duality crucial to the performance’s deeper themes.
