The size of the magnetic ball significantly influences its interaction with the magnet. In experiments involving a larger magnetic ball, it was observed to move toward the center of the magnet, even when lifted. Similarly, an unmagnetized steel bolt exhibited this tendency, demonstrating a strong attraction towards the magnet regardless of its position in relation to it.
Other shapes were tested, specifically cylinder magnets. When oriented vertically, these cylinder magnets also gravitated towards the center. However, when lifted, they moved to the edges, and a push in their position could cause them to flip back to their vertical orientation. This flipping behavior suggests a struggle between vertical stability and horizontal positioning.
