The military scientists visited Hutchinson in Vancouver, eager to observe his claims under controlled conditions. Hutchinson had accumulated a variety of high-voltage apparatus, including a Van de Graaff generator and Tesla coils, which he utilized to create charges that could lift objects. However, attempts to replicate the phenomenon consistently under laboratory conditions yielded no results.
Despite energetic collaboration, even Alexander could not directly witness the effects during his time working with Hutchinson, leading him to question the reproducibility of the findings.
