Part 1/4:
Experimenting with Magnetic Levitation
In a recent experiment aimed at observing the behaviors of various materials under specific conditions, a series of intriguing setups were prepared. The team involved gathered a collection of components designed to both attract and repel, utilizing the principles of magnetism.
The Setup
Central to the experiment was a large brass cylinder, a striking feature that was initially toppled during the setup phase. The objective was to ensure that this cylinder would align with a nearby calculator by the evening, potentially enabling it to follow the device’s movement. Accompanying this were various other materials, including an open blue cylinder, a heavy stand, and notable metallic rods.
