The genesis of Hutchinson's experiments began in 1979 while he was intrigued by Nikola Tesla's theories. This led him to study longitudinal waves, which in turn guided him towards developing various high-frequency generators, Tesla coils, and electrostatic mechanisms.
Hutchinson, who is based in New Westminster, British Columbia, initially approached these studies for personal enjoyment rather than any ulterior scientific motive. His experiments started innocently, but soon escalated as he began to observe bizarre phenomena, such as pieces of bakelite material flying across the room when he activated electrostatic fields.
