Part 2/8:
Moving from the lush forests of Canada to the more varied landscapes of California, the narrator encounters ravens for the first time. These birds captivate them as the bigger and more intelligent cousins of crows. Their fascination with ravens grows through detailed observations and stories about the individual birds they have named and become familiar with, such as Grandpa, Foghorn, Old Timer Huey, Dewey, Squeaky, and other characters. Each raven is assigned unique personality traits, contributing to a personal avian community.
