Normal: Less than 120/80 mmHg
Elevated: 120-129/<80 mmHg
Hypertension Stage 1: 130-139/80-89 mmHg
Hypertension Stage 2: 140 or higher / 90 or higher
The readings of 160-200 mmHg are definitely in the hypertensive range, which necessitates medical attention. However, isolated high readings taken in clinical settings can sometimes be misleading if not corroborated with multiple measurements over time, ideally outside of stressful situations.
