Part 4/9:
Seeking more space and better positioning, Paul describes his attempt to set up a more extensive antenna array in his father's backyard. This installation includes a tree approximately 22 feet high, from which a long wire is suspended. The wire begins at a screw mounted on a wooden post, goes up the tree, then back down, creating an intricate loop into his lab—his personal experimental "wonderland."
He notes that the wire is wrapped with multiple layers of black tape for insulation, but mentions a recent setback—birds appeared to have tangled and possibly degraded the setup, complicating the wiring. The wire itself connects to various hooks and insulates at critical points to prevent unwanted contact, maintaining a careful configuration as it runs into his lab.
