Furthering his exploration, Paul experimented with various magnets placed around the coils. He used round neodymium magnets, ring-shaped ones, and rectangular magnets. He observed that the type and shape of magnets affected the voltages but did not yield conclusive results yet. He expressed a preference for long rod magnets with distinct positive and negative ends, hypothesizing that such magnets might produce more predictable and controlled magnetic fields.
He demonstrated the effect of placing the magnets around the coils, noting some increase in voltage but recognizing the need for further tests with properly polarized magnets to optimize results.
