As the pole is raised, it begins to bend like a fishing rod under tension. This bending is particularly noticeable until the last section is extended, at which point the guide wires become taut and help straighten and stabilize the pole. The experimenter demonstrated this process and showed a large tubular screen, approximately 3 feet by 4 feet, which he was attempting to deploy at the top of the pole.

He revealed that the screen had to be removed and ripped apart at some point, as it was not perfectly seamless. The screen was coated with foil at the ends to prevent stray strands from hanging loosely. Despite initial efforts, the screen collapsed when the pole was raised improperly, underscoring the difficulties in managing such large structures in experimental setups.
