Structural Components and Design
The device’s construction revolves around a long V-shaped belt, which measures slightly over 8 inches in length and is made from rubber cemented together. The belt passes over a series of carefully chosen rollers:
Bottom Roller: A 3-inch diameter Teflon roller, which provides low friction and smooth operation. Paul notes the high cost of solid Teflon, which prompted him to coat a nylon roller with a thin layer of virgin Teflon, balancing performance and affordability.
Top Roller: A nylon roller, serving as the upper movement guide for the belt.
