Experimental Goals and Materials
Once the coil is fabricated—albeit imperfect—Paul plans to perform electromagnetic experiments. Among his intentions are to pass AC current through these spherical coils and observe phenomena such as magnetic levitation. To test this, he has prepared various metal balls: hollow aluminum, copper, and steel, which are known for their high conductivity or magnetic properties.
