Encouraged by the initial results, the experimenter plans to wrap the coil around the grounding rod that is part of the circuit. Historically, this coil configuration was used to enhance inductive coupling, so re-establishing it aims at further voltage amplification. Continuous adjustments are made, trying to squeeze out higher voltages and more pronounced induction effects.
Integrating the Jewel Thief Circuit
A jewel thief circuit, a simple inverter designed to step up voltage from a small power supply, is introduced into the setup. The circuit's leads are connected to an LED indicator, creating a visual cue for circuit activity. The green and white wires wrap around the LED, connected to the battery and the output of the jewel thief circuit, respectively.
