Next, the experimenter removes some small green wires used previously for a "jewel thief" circuit—a common method for tapping small amounts of power or experimenting with wireless energy. With these wires removed, the measurement setup is simplified to the voltmeter probe and the coil. The voltmeter's needle reads a voltage that continues to climb, indicating ongoing voltage accumulation in the system.
