One notable project involves a Keller hacksaw, a robust, vintage piece that the speaker purchased from eBay for approximately $100. The machine, weighing about 300 pounds, was delivered via U-Ship. The restoration process included several modifications: replacing the existing bar with one fitted with cap screws, adding a custom knob, and replacing the brass journal slides to tighten operation. They also repaired and re-machined critical parts like the wheels, which were formerly cast iron and had worn down—so they replaced worn-out parts with steel disks, glued and screwed them for optimal performance.
