Part 2/10:
The day began with an inside-out examination of the Algin lathe, a piece of equipment that appears to have been stored unused for quite some time. The operator noted that the machine was surprisingly tight, with no visible signs of wear or damage. The belts were in excellent condition, and even after checking the motor—appearing robust and well-maintained—it was clear this machine was preserved meticulously, aside from some dust accumulation. A vacuum revealed a significant amount of black dust inside, which is typical for machinery that sits idle for extended periods.
