Part 3/10:
A significant aspect of the workshop modification involves replacing complex or bulky parts with simpler, more efficient systems. The old air supply system was removed to free up space, allowing for an innovative drip oiling setup.
A large Trico drip oiler was integrated into the work area, serving as an essential lubricating component for machining processes. The machinist cleverly routed a tap from an oxygen-acetylene unit to the drip oiler, creating a controlled, consistent flow of oil or cutting fluid directly onto the workpiece. By adjusting small taps, the operator can fine-tune the drip rate, optimizing lubrication during metalworking operations.
