Almost a month after injuring my knee, I find myself reflecting on a difficult period marked by infection, hospital stays, and surgeries. It all started while working in my lab, bending down to work on scrap metal. As I was scraping away rusty steel with a chisel, I suddenly began to feel chills that quickly worsened. Swelling and pain followed, prompting me to seek emergency medical attention.
