Hutchison's most notable contribution is what he calls the "Hutchison Effect"—a set of phenomena involving electromagnetic interference causing objects to levitate, fragment, or move unpredictably. Beyond mere levitation, some experiments have resulted in the disassembly of metals, the suspension of objects in midair, and the apparent alteration of material properties.
He postulates that these effects might be due to electromagnetic interference disrupting gravitational forces or other fundamental physical laws. Although he admits he cannot precisely predict which objects will be affected or how, the consistent occurrence of these phenomena hints at a new realm of energy manipulation.
