He demonstrates how physically interacting with these devices, such as touching or applying pressure to the wafers, dramatically affects their voltage output—often reaching nine to ten volts or more. He notes that manipulating these wafers, which are fragile, could induce spikes and resonance effects. Many of his experiments involved stacking wafers of various sizes, some as large as 30 millimeters, and depositing rare earth materials on them to observe their electrical behavior.
