Part 3/10:
Proponents often claim the Sun and Moon are only a few thousand miles from Earth, with parameters like 2,400 to 3,000 miles being common estimates. The discrepancy becomes evident when examining the phenomenon of day and night cycles. If the Sun were 93 million miles away (as accepted by astronomy), the Sun's angular size should remain nearly constant, and it should not set, contrary to observable fact. Yet, flat Earth models suggest the Sun is close enough that its apparent size and position shift dramatically in a way inconsistent with the behavior of celestial bodies at such distances.
