The Birth of Tia
Starting Tia was not without challenges, given the complexities and fragmented nature of the flexible packaging industry. Dena and her team recognized that a significant problem in traditional packaging is what happens once the products are consumed. Conventional plastics can take hundreds to thousands of years to decompose, leaving an indelible mark on the environment. Tia aims to alleviate this issue by creating packaging that is both high-quality and fully compostable.
