Important security measures include:
Updating Firmware: Always upgrade to the latest firmware provided by the manufacturer.
Performing a Factory Reset: To ensure removal of malicious payloads or backdoors.
Strong Passwords: Use complex, unique admin passwords on your devices.
Disabling Remote Management: Turn off remote access features unless absolutely necessary.
Avoid Exposing Services: Keep management interfaces and critical services internal, never accessible from the internet.
