The primary goals of mastering include increasing the track's loudness so it stands up against other songs on platforms like Spotify and adding subtle improvements in warmth, clarity, and overall sonic character. Unlike mixing, where larger adjustments are made, mastering focuses on refining the overall sound with micro-adjustments.
