Part 3/8:
Starting with a tempo slightly below the typical 120 BPM—around 93—I created a simple drum pattern. You can input the rhythm either by drawing it in the MIDI clip or by playing it using your keyboard. For simplicity, the basic pattern includes kicks on the first and third beats and snares on the second and fourth.
After establishing the drum loop, I experimented with effects like compression and tape simulation, making adjustments to achieve the desired sound.
Adding Bass and Mids
Once the drums are set, it's time to layer on the bass or mids. In this case, I chose to record the guitar, a fundamental element in indie rock. You can opt to record with a good microphone or utilize digital samples if you don’t have the right equipment.
