If guitar isn’t an option for you, consider using digital instruments in Ableton for creating synth sounds or other mid-range options. Remember, the goal is to produce a captivating arrangement that feels authentic.
Recording the Guitar
With my guitar set up and ready to go, I recorded a simple chord progression that complements the drum pattern. Afterward, I also tracked additional guitar parts to enrich the texture of the recording.
With the basics recorded—drums and guitars—next in line was to add bass. Using a unique muffle technique with a specialized mute on my bass, I was able to emulate a vintage 60s sound that added depth to the track.
