After establishing the rhythm section with drums, bass, and mid-range guitars, it was important to finalize the architecture of the song. This involved tracking multiple guitar layers, panning them left and right, and carefully adding reverb.
Additionally, I wanted to incorporate a melody that would stand out, so I experimented with vocal recordings. This required capturing multiple layers and harmonies to enrich the overall sound of the track.
Crafting and Structuring the Song
When it comes to songwriting, the process often takes longer than production. It took about 30-40 minutes to get the production laid out, but I spent approximately two hours developing the lyrics and tracking the vocals. Keep in mind that great songwriting can easily elevate the entire production process.
