Unlike Obama, who received a Nobel Peace Prize just months into his tenure for promises of peace, Trump’s tangible contributions—brokered peace agreements and military de-escalations—have often been overlooked or underappreciated by the Democratic leadership.
Maria Corina Machado, a recent Nobel Peace laureate, even dedicated her award to Trump, acknowledging his role in advancing peace efforts. Nevertheless, many Democrats remain reticent to openly acknowledge or commend Trump’s role, possibly due to partisan biases or institutional politics.
