Another critical problem is the false dichotomy that pervades political discourse. The prevalent division into "left" versus "right" oversimplifies the political spectrum. In reality, political ideologies exist along a continuum—ranging from communism at one end to fascism at the other—with most individuals falling somewhere in between.

For example, on a scale from -100 (communism) to +100 (fascism), most policies or beliefs fall in the middle. Unfortunately, society often treats anything on the far right or far left as equivalent or as extremism simply because of where it falls on the spectrum. This oversimplification fuels tribalism and misunderstandings.
