Initially, some in the Bitcoin community prefer to focus solely on building their new financial systems and communities outside traditional politics, often advocating for “separating money from the state.” However, both Moss and Corba argue that abdication of political engagement equates to defeat.
Mark Moss points out that the founding fathers of the United States actively participated in politics to shape a nation based on their vision, rather than accepting the status quo. The founders, many of whom were young business owners, recognized that participation is fundamental. If Bitcoiners want to build a world aligned with their values—minimal government, private property, and individual rights—they must be involved in shaping policies that influence the system they live within.
