Genesis 12 highlights God’s command to Abram to leave his land and kin, yet Abram brought Lot along—a decision that delayed God’s full blessing until Lot’s departure. Sometimes, loyalty is mistaken for obedience. When God directs you to move forward, you don’t need everyone’s approval—just His.
Helping the wrong person may feel noble, but disobedience, even with good intentions, is still disobedience. Always seek God's guidance through prayer, asking, "Who am I carrying that You never asked me to?" Genuine obedience involves sometimes walking away to obey God fully.
