Today's academic and political climates often celebrate diversity and liberal values, explicitly distancing themselves from overtly racist or eugenic principles. Yet, the underlying hierarchy—placing some groups above others based on inherited traits or perceived victimhood—remains. The modern obsession with victimhood and social victim hierarchies echoes eugenic classifications, albeit in less morally explicit forms.
In the context of history, the progression from American eugenics to Nazi atrocities illustrates the dangerous potential of pseudoscience cloaked in authority, and the importance of critically examining the ideological roots of policies that infringe on individual rights.
