In almost every case Hancock presents, the evidence falls short of these standards. Sites like Cholula, with a continuous tradition of construction spanning thousands of years, are factually well-understood and fit neatly into the accepted historical framework. Claims that they are much older are based on misinterpretations of dating techniques or selective reading of archaeological data.
