This profound paradox—that The All is both unknowable and the source of all—embodies the Hermetic acknowledgment of divine mystery. While humanity can grasp the concept of The All as infinite living mind or spirit, its true nature remains hidden behind the veil of divine incomprehensibility.
The universe, therefore, is a mental shadow, a fleeting manifestation, propped up by the laws of the mind of The All. It is a mental creation—a dream woven from the fabric of divine consciousness—yet it appears as real and substantial to finite beings.
