Proponents like Robert Sternberg and Howard Gardner have argued for multiple types of intelligence—practical, linguistic, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and so forth. However, I challenge the utility of these distinctions, asserting that the term "intelligence" should not be distorted to encompass talents like dancing or sports, which are better understood as talents rather than a core cognitive capacity.
