Part 12/17:
A critical message to young people and society at large is to aim high. Success requires effort, discipline, and a willingness to climb hierarchies of competence. The alternative—wandering aimlessly or succumbing to victimhood—leads nowhere and fosters misery. Instead, individuals should be motivated to push toward mastery, contribute meaningfully, and stand up for themselves with integrity.
Society and educational institutions ought to foster this mindset. Examples from elite universities like Harvard reveal that talented students often lack guidance on how to utilize their abilities effectively. Clear encouragement to pursue excellence, work hard, and develop character is often missing but desperately needed.
