Part 2/11:
Therapists engaging in assertiveness training generally aim to uncover what clients are truly angry about. Often, this anger stems from being taken advantage of or from not asserting their own needs forcefully enough. Many clients find it difficult or even painful to articulate their desires or to confront their fears of hope and vulnerability, making it harder to specify what they genuinely want in life. Recognizing and articulating these unmet needs is a crucial step toward building a more confident and assertive self.
