The Mets have already made significant moves this offseason by acquiring pitchers Luis Cessa and Clay Holmes as well as trading for Paul Blackburn. While King could undoubtedly improve their rotation, it seems unlikely that the Mets will pursue him further, given the resources already committed to their pitching staff.
The Atlanta Braves
In terms of needs, the Atlanta Braves present a compelling case for acquiring King. With a rotation that could benefit from an additional strong arm, King might fit seamlessly into the lineup, especially with some uncertainty surrounding pitchers like Spencer Strider.
